Company Overview
Minton's Sportsplex was established in1987. It is Texarkana's largest family-oriented, health, fitness and sports complex. The Sportsplex completed a $7 million dollar multiphase expansion in early 2010, sits on 6.5 acres, 70,000 square foot under roof, exceeds 200 employees, and is 9,000 members strong. Our outdoor aquatics highlight a 25 yard lap pool and a Caribbean themed water park recreation pool. In addition, Minton's has a 70 yard combination natural turf football and soccer fields, beach volleyball and basketball courts. Minton's Health and Wellness Pre-school and After-school care won a national award for "Best Childrens Program in the fitness Industry", awarded by club Industry's Fitness Business Pro Magazine. Christian Moreno, of the Copper Institute said, "Minton's Sportsplex is single handedly changing the fitness Industy and childhood obesity epidemic with their children's program; "Develop Healthy Habits that Last a Lifetime." Norman Cates of Club Insider Magazine said, " Mike Minton has developed the nicest unique facility in America. Minton's Sportsplex is a member of International Health, Raquet and Sports Club association, Club industy, Texarkana Chamber of Commerece, Small Business of the Year winner, Texas Small Business Partner in Education of the Year winner, Featured in numerous trade publications, Time Magazine, and has been awarded multiple times as the Best Exercise Facilty and Childrens Programs in the Texarkana area.
