Gold Medal Grand Winner: In 2010, Gurnee Park District was selected as the Grand Award Winner among park and recreation agencies nationwide for the 2010 National Gold Medal Awards for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management.
Distinguished Agency: The Gurnee Park District was named a Distinguished Agency 2011-2016 by the Illinois Association of Park Districts and the Illinois Parks and Recreation Association after completing an intensive accreditation review program in fall of 2010.
